  • Safe Guide forms are used to document program plans and obtain acknowledgement or authorization for Unit activities.

  • Safe Guide Training is required for Members who work in Units or supervise others who work with girls. Training must be completed within 6 months of taking on your role. GGC believes strongly in ensuring Members are trained in safety management. If Members are not able to meet the training requirement they cannot continue to attend unit meetings or their supervisory role. However, they do continue in GGC as Member-at-large and can attend trainings or other Guiding adult ONLY events. As soon as the Safe Guide training is completed they can return to working with girls and their other roles.

You and Safe Guide Planning is a quick overview of the steps for including Safe Guide procedures in planning activities.
