Commissioners can also request face to face sessions in their area/districts. Can’t get a night other than your meeting night? Maybe ask some parent helpers/Pathfinders/Rangers to be with the girls that night while you attend training in a room near by, or cancel a meeting a make it a district event. We will work with you to locate a place and set a date that will work for your Guiders. Other sessions are in the planning stages - stay tuned to our website and Facebook pages. Girl Guide Trainers help members prepare for their roles, develop new skills and improve the Guiding experience for everyone. If you’ve ever considered becoming a Trainer, join us at the St. John’s provincial office on Sunday, March 10. From 1 to 2 p.m. grab a tea or coffee and learn more about becoming a Trainer. From 2 to 4 p.m. we will complete the Training in the Guiding Context module. This is also a great refresher for current Trainers. Register now.
Take a look at our simplified process for becoming a Trainer which includes two online courses and four additional courses. If the Trainer position is right for you, complete the Potential Trainer Expression of Interest form. Email questions to Tricia at nl-training@girlguides.ca.
Upcoming Virtual Training Sessions
Girl Guides trainings are for all adult, bridging, and Ranger-aged members.
Registration closes two days before each session, except for the DEI modules which closes five days before each session. Each virtual training will take up to 2 hours maximum. The Teams link will be emailed to registered participants 24 hours before your training session. If you have questions about virtual trainings, please contact hawkinssa@trainer.girlguides.ca

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) modules
The diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training modules are designed to support members in fostering a welcoming and inclusive space at every level of our organization. The modules build upon one another, and each is a pre- requisite for the next module. They must be taken in order. Registration for DEI modules closes 5 days in advance so the DEI primer can be completed before the training sessions.

The District Commissioner Training modules provide adult members with the skills and resources needed to carry out your positions confidently. These virtual trainings are open to all members; you don't need to be a commissioner. Modules can be taken in any order.
